Gregg Popovich praises LeBron James: “He deserves a lot of credit for being the consumate professional”

Gregg Popovich had nothing but good words to say about the superstar of the Los Angeles Lakers LeBron James.

Popovich, the head coach of the San Antonio Spurs, called James a ‘consumate professional’ and praised him for playing at such a high level in Year 18.

“It’s a tribute to his tenacity level … his commitment to excellence. He deserves a lot of credit for being the consumate professional. His mental state along with his physical state really makes him really special,” Popovich told reporters, via Mike Trudell of Spectrum Sportsnet.

Popovich and the Spurs take on the James and the Lakers on Wednesday night.
