Kim Zolciak Reveals Son Kash Underwent Reconstructive Face Surgery

Tough guy! Kim Zolciak couldn’t help but gush over son Kash after revealing he underwent reconstructive facial surgery in November for injuries from a dog bite in 2017.

The Don’t Be Tardy star, 42, shared via Instagram on Wednesday, December 30, that she “waited to share this story until my baby was healed!” revealing that she had known since the incident that Kash, 8, would have to go under the knife again.

“Kash is such a trooper the toughest, bravest little boy I have ever met,” she wrote. “Last month Kash had reconstructive surgery from the dog bite 3 years ago. We knew the night of the bite/surgery that he most likely would need another surgery in the future to correct the injury. It was pretty severe and due to the severity of the swelling that night our plastic surgeon Dr Joseph Williams (the best) did the very best he could.”

Zolciak added that the family “had a rough couple days” amid Kash’s latest surgery and recovery, revealing that she sought prayers from those close to her and even went crying to a personal trainer friend. She asked him “if (Conor McGregor) (Kash’s all time favorite fighter) could send an encouraging message to Kash.” What she got back overwhelmed her.

“Conor’s video had me in tears I could barely speak, I mean it’s CONOR MCGREGOR but it was also his MESSAGE,” she wrote on social media as she shared the clip.

The champion fighter said: “I heard you had a match with a dog and you won. So congratulations on that victory. I plan on securing my own victory January 23. I’m here now isolated away getting my work in taking inspiration from your victory, Kash. Thank you so much and congratulations on the win.”

Kash’s 2017 attack took place at Zolciak’s home. her husband, Kroy Biermann, recalled what happened during a 2017 episode of their reality show.

“I had the leaf blower on my back. Sinn (the family’s rescue dog) doesn’t like the blower so he was already on high alert,” the 35-year-old recalled. “(Kash) pulls his hands down and there’s multiple lacerations. I can’t see his eye. All I see is dark. … I know that it’s a very dire emergency.”

The then-5-year-old was hospitalized for four days and underwent emergency surgery. He had eight stitches to save his eye and Zolciak said at the time that the surgeon who operated on Kash was “pleased with his progress.”

The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum and the former NFL star share two additional children: Kaia and Kane. The “Wig” singer also has two daughters, Brielle and Ariana, from a previous relationship.
