Leeds United are slowly but surely closing in on promotion back to the Premier League.
There will be plenty of planning to do in the transfer market for the Whites’ return to the top flight – and perhaps even more if Marcelo Bielsa’s side fail to capitalise on their position at the top of the table with just a handful of games remaining.
With that in mind, here is the latest gossip from Elland Road.

Gaich move played down
San Lorenzo are reportedly unaware of Leeds United holding an interest in Adolfo Gaich.
The striker has previously been linked with a move to Elland Road, with the Whites set to reshuffle their attack this summer regardless of what division they find themselves in.
Gaich has already featured for Argentina but Clarin report that San Lorenzo are unaware of where talk of the striker moving to Leeds has come from.
Loader holds talks elsewhere
The Telegraph’s Mike McGrath says that Leeds remain interested in Danny Loader.
Loader is set to leave Reading when his contract expires this week having turned down offers of a new deal.
Leeds have previously been credited with an interest in the 19-year-old striker, who saw a move to Wolves fall through last year.

Yet, according to McGrath, Loader has held talks with Portuguese side Vitoria over a potential deal.
Crystal Palace are also said to be monitoring his situation.

Augustin extension unlikely
The Athletic’s Phil Hay says that an extension on Jean-Kevin Augustin’s loan deal appears unlikely.

Augustin has proved a big disappointment for Leeds since joining on loan from RB Leipzig in January, with persistent injuries limiting any impact the striker has been able to have at the club.
Whilst Leeds have the option to sign him permanently, it appears that they are unlikely to require his services before the end of the season.
That means they will not extend his loan deal, even if they are still contractually obliged to sign him in the summer.
