Agbonlahor tips Leeds target to stay
Gabriel Agbonlahor has tipped reported Leeds target Sam Johnstone to sign a new contract at West Brom.
Johnstone has been linked with a move to the Whites after showing some impressive form for the Baggies in the Premier League so far this season.
However, when speaking to Football Insider, Agbonalhor has played down the links with the Yorkshire side, saying he doesn’t “see that happening”.

The former Aston Villa striker said: “I don’t see that happening, to be honest.
“He’s doing well at West Brom and I don’t see them letting him leave. I’m sure West Brom will try and tie him down to a new deal.
“I think he will stay at West Brom because he’s enjoying his football there and he’s doing really well.
“Leeds aren’t really a bigger club I wouldn’t say than West Brom or doing that well at the moment.”
Premier League statement
The Premier League have said they have “full confidence” in their Covid-19 protocols despite two games being postponed this week due to an outbreak of the virus.
Manchester City’s trip to Everton was called off on Monday and on Wednesday, Tottenham’s home clash with Fulham was postponed.
In a statement from the Premier League, they said: “With low numbers of positive tests across the overwhelming majority of clubs, the Premier League continues to have full confidence in its COVID-19 protocols and being able to continue to play our fixtures as scheduled.”
Leeds are next due to be in action on Saturday as they travel to Spurs – who have now had more rest due to their game being called off.

Hasselbaink makes Bamford claim
Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink believes Leeds striker Patrick Bamford has benefitted from playing behind closed doors this season.
Bamford has scored 10 goals in 16 Premier League outings this season and has looked right at home in the top-flight.
Now, speaking on Amazon Prime Video, former Whites star Hasselbaink has explained how the supporters’ absence from Elland Road may have benefitted the striker.
“His finishing,” Hasselbaink said when asked what Bamford has improved this season.
“Last year, he had lots of chances in every game and it didn’t really work out for him.
“He’s very confident. The fans not being here, especially at Leeds, has helped him a little bit to gain his confidence back.
“He’s been a very important person for the Leeds team.”
